NorthStar ("we", "us") provides pricing decision software for Amazon sellers. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, and a hashed password when you register.

Marketplace data: product, pricing, and competitive data you upload directly, or — once connected — data NorthStar retrieves on your behalf via the Amazon Selling Partner API, strictly within the scope you authorize.

Usage data: basic operational logs (e.g. request timestamps) used to run and secure the service.

2. How we use it

Marketplace data is used solely to generate the pricing opportunities, decisions, and explanations that are the core product. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your marketplace data to train models shared with other customers.

3. Amazon data specifically

Any data accessed through the Amazon Selling Partner API is handled in accordance with Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy and Data Protection Policy. It is used only to provide functionality you've requested and is retained only as long as needed for that purpose.

4. Data retention

Account and marketplace data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Third parties

We use a small number of infrastructure and processing providers (e.g. hosting, database, and AI explanation providers) strictly to operate the service. They do not have independent rights to use your data.
